3. #3    I voted for Obama as well, kjlovell, what practical choice did we have? McCain Palin? Howard Zinn said he voted for Obama not because he liked his policies, but because the corrupt two-party, big-money, corporate media managed campaign, voting and election system leaves us with little choice. Democracy seems to be nothing but an expensive PR exercise. Chomsky says we live in a "sham democracy".

8. #8    where is it written that the inauguration of our president is a religious event? nader (the third place winner), mckinney, and kucinich all understand the separation of church and state, and none of them would have invited homophobes to the event, religious or otherwise. way too much liberal whining over this one. you get what you vote for.

10. #10    I could care less who he calls to pray over this event! The real test for Obama will be whether he instructs his Justice dept to INVESTIGATE the Busheviks for torture and other war crimes. That will be the real test of CHANGE.
