Dear Lord Baby Jesus, we come before you today to inaugurate the new president of the United States of God...

This is a bad move by Obama. You don’t effectively promote unity and progress by handing the show over to a guy who has offended every American with a working brain. So - off to a bad start. Maybe the change we can believe in comes later on the card.

  1. #1    Later on the card? Or not at all. I'm having buyers remorse on this one. Unfortunately I own this one, 'cause I voted for him.

  2. #2    We have to listen to snake-handling hucksters. And if you don't buy into their fraud you will never hold public office. The surrealism and absurdity have eclipsed Orwell's attempts at description.

  3. #3    I voted for Obama as well, kjlovell, what practical choice did we have? McCain Palin? Howard Zinn said he voted for Obama not because he liked his policies, but because the corrupt two-party, big-money, corporate media managed campaign, voting and election system leaves us with little choice. Democracy seems to be nothing but an expensive PR exercise. Chomsky says we live in a "sham democracy".

  5. #5    Kucinich, joining McKinney, would give all of of the sucked in hopefull suckers' an even break NEXT TIME around; but I fear it will be too little, too late.

  6. #6    I'm not happy about Obama using Rick Warren in ANY part of his Inauguration either, truth to tell. If he needed a minister, why not somebody who's NOT a homophobic snake-oil salesman, anyway?

What's next? Appointing Orson Scott Card to head his LGBT Rights and Anti-Pedophile League?

  7. #7    7 John; were ready just not able. I prefer the saying, "a rented mule" when I am not in the presents of the humane society.

  8. #8    where is it written that the inauguration of our president is a religious event? nader (the third place winner), mckinney, and kucinich all understand the separation of church and state, and none of them would have invited homophobes to the event, religious or otherwise. way too much liberal whining over this one. you get what you vote for.

  9. #9    and how much is 'hope incorporated' going to spend on all of this pomp and circumstance?

  10. #10    I could care less who he calls to pray over this event! The real test for Obama will be whether he instructs his Justice dept to INVESTIGATE the Busheviks for torture and other war crimes. That will be the real test of CHANGE.
