Last Congress Didn’t Investigate Walter Reed Because ‘They Did Not Want To Embarrass’ Bush

On NBC’s Meet the Press today, Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI) argued that the Senate Armed Services Committee did not conduct oversight of the treatment at military facilities in recent years because “they did not want to embarrass the President.” As the new chairman of the committee, Levin said he will be visiting Walter Reed this week and holding a hearing on March 6.

  1. #1    This isn't totally true...DeLay and cohorts removed the prior overseer who was a veteran himself and stuck one of their own rats in who was just as cold-hearted about the vets as bushboy is to replace him (sure wish I could find that article...I saw it posted here)...so actually the last congress was just as responsible as bushboy! Wish Levin had put it that way to show the republiconmen for what they truly are...bloodthirsty whiney chickenhawks!

  2. #2    Just like they refused to investigate and do anything about the allegations against Foley because it would embarrass them.

  4. #4    The good ole boyz always cover each other's dirty butts...they are all in collusion...the VA hospitals have been controversial since day one...experimental stations to test new drugs and invasive procedures...they should take a survey of former staff who could not tolerate the way the vets are treated...or not treated...
