EXCLUSIVE: To Provoke War, Cheney Considered Proposal To Dress Up Navy Seals As Iranians And Shoot At Them

Speaking at the Campus Progress journalism conference earlier this month, Seymour Hersh — a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist for The New Yorker — revealed that Bush administration officials held a meeting recently in the Vice President’s office to discuss ways to provoke a war with Iran. During the journalism conference event, I asked Hersh specifically about this meeting and if he could elaborate on what occurred. Hersh explained that, during the meeting in Cheney’s office, an idea was considered to dress up Navy Seals as Iranians, put them on fake Iranian speedboats, and shoot at them. This idea, intended to provoke an Iran war, was ultimately rejected...

    ....................
On the night of August 31, 1939 a small group of German operatives, dressed in Polish uniforms and led by Naujocks[2] seized the Gleiwitz station and broadcast a short anti-German ...

  8. #8    ....and Pelosi stated on "The View"
"unless you have the goods that this president committed crimes."

Well hell Nancy, would you settle for a twofer? President and Vice President? I believe the evidence is out there. The only problem from getting from exhibit A to I is P.
Pelosi IS Obstructing Justice! And, if the US attacks Iran,Pelosi ought to be charged with Aiding and Abetting.

I'd bet on the Team's over our regular Navy in a heartbeat!!!!!

They'd (reg Navy) more than likely get their asses handed to them anyway.........

God forbid any of these pissed off frogmen survive the ordeal...I'd sure wouldn't want to be on their "shit list"

  10. #10    Not QUITE a smoking gun - but a nice place to start investigating, don't you think...? :D

Sure Cheney considered this - it fits to a "T" his spy thriller-infested mind! In fact, wasn't THIS the premise of one of those RAINBOW SIX paperback thrillers men's adventure writers grind out once a month - where Tom Clancy's name is in BIG letters on the cover, and the real author isn't mentioned until the Acknowledgements page, if at all?
