Lieberman Defends McCain From Suggestion of Improper Relationship

Sen. Joe Lieberman defended Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Thursday, calling a New York Times story suggesting he favored a lobbyist's clients "outrageously unfair." Lieberman told reporters Thursday that he hasn't yet decided whether he'll attend the Republican convention this summer, but will speak if McCain asks for his help.

  1. #1    Lieberman might as well be a republican.

  2. #2    If Lieberman says there was no improper relationship, that makes me even more inclined to believe there was one.
    Anyway, how would Lieberman know?

  4. #4    Lieberman is a Republican in practice. How did this slimeball get elected again is a question that still troubles me.

  5. #5    He was reelected with the help of Connecticut Republicans. If the Dems pick up more seats in the U.S. Senate this November, hopefully we can kiss his sorry ass goodbye as a member of the Democratic caucus.

  6. #6    Gore's choice for VP, former DLC chair, O-bomb-a's choice for mentor (BO also campaigned for him in CT against Lamont). After thumbing his nose at the DP and running against the Dem nominee, he was rewarded by Reid (unanimously elected by D Senators as majority leader) with the chair of the Homeland Security committee.

  7. #7    But Obama eventually supported Lamont in Connecticut later in the 2006 campaign: http://www.boston.com/news/local/connecticut/articles/2006/10/26/lamont_gets_lift_from_obama_lieberman_campaigns_with_landrieu?mode=PF
And Lamont is now Obama's campaign co-chairman in Connecticut:

  16. #16    The plan should be to expose Lieberman. Any "improper relationships" hidden in his sanctimonious closet? He obviously likes to give the Rethugs hummers in hopes of landing a big job in a GOP administration. Anybody got photos?
