Two years ago Zbigniew Brzezinski was telling us that George and the neocons had set world government back 50 years and the Black Nobility of Europe wanted Bush out of Iraq. Now Zbig tells us of the coming war with Iran.
He is looking for an event or some kind of terrorist attack that can be blamed on Iran to justify a pre-emptive attack. They expect this to happen prior to the election.
Zbig said two years ago that the US should leave Iraq. The Iran attack will be to derail Obama whose mentor is Zbig. Yes, Zbig is selling Barak out.
The result of an Israeli attack would be that the entire Middle East would be in conflict and oil suppliers from Iraq, Iran and Venezuela would probably be shut off to Europe and the US.
Russia and China could get involved and we easily have nuclear war.
Even if Russia and China do not get involved they will be monitoring everything that goes on.

The D.H.S. refuses to answer questions about the program, such as the criteria for inspection. Lawsuits have been filed challenging the program.
D.H.S. refuses to say exactly how common the practice is, how many computers, portable storage drives, and BlackBerries have been inspected and confiscated, or what happens to the devices once they are seized.
Those suing already know digital copies – mirror images of drives have been made. Can you imagine what could happen to companies that have trade secrets in their computers and most of them do.
The D.H.S. Is Loaded With Criminals as Is Our Government.
The Court of Appeals has already said D.H.S. has the authority to search electronic devices. Except for journalists the D.H.S has been preying on Muslims, Asians and Middle Easterners.
The D.H.S. could care less about the nightmare they create. They destroy the reason for the business trip. It is totally wasted. Often these criminals hold the electronics and laptops for months just to harass people. As far as we know today they have never found anything incriminating. It is no wonder foreigners hate America. The D.H.S. says they want to catch terrorists, child pornographers and those stealing intellectual property.
This is not the America we once knew.

As we mentioned in the last issue, in entering or leaving the US people are being selected for additional screening by customs, which includes digital media cards or drives in your pockets, inspecting the digital memory card from your camera and your cell phone. They are also arbitrarily impounding such items and returning them two weeks later, and sometimes months later.
There obviously is a program to confiscate electronics at custom points.
Journalists are being selected for special treatment.

We lived under exchange controls when we lived in South Africa and Rhodesia 33 years ago. It is like living in a financial jail.

Not only has the 110th Congress failed to force any changes to Bush’s open-ended war policy, it seems hell-bent on dragging us into a war with Iran. Instead of applying the lessons of the recent diplomatic success with North Korea-if we can negotiate with the super-secretive North Koreans surely we can negotiate with the far more open leadership of Iran-we are careening into another disaster. Take a moment to read the appalling language of House Resolution 362, sponsored by “liberal” New York Congressman Gary Ackerman with over 200 cosponsors . The arrogance of empire that underlies this resolution is stunning. It calls for imposing stringent inspection requirements “on all persons, vehicles, ships, planes, trains, and cargo entering or departing Iran.” Do we really want to blockade Iran’s borders? Wouldn’t Iran be justified to view this as an act of war? As the Seattle Post-Intelligencer asked in a June 24 editorial, “Are supporters of Res. 362 asleep at the wheel, or are they just anxious to drag us into another illegal war?”

Our founding fathers who fought against empire and foreign entanglements would be horrified that right before leaving for the July 4th break, Congress passed-and George Bush signed–the largest funding bill ever for the continued occupation of Iraq. Ignoring the will of the American people to end the war in Iraq, the Democrat-controlled Congress didn’t even make any pretenses of trying to set a timetable for withdrawal or new benchmarks for evaluating progress. They passed the money with no restrictions whatsoever. Worse yet, they gave the President way more than he asked for ($108 billion) so they could avoid another war funding debate before the November election. There is now enough money in the pipeline to keep the war going until the end of June 2009, saddling a new president with an old, failed policy.

Yikes. That's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe this is what the Mayans predicted, and off'ed themselves as to not have to suffer through the misery of starving through radiation poisoning. Apparently you can eat, but your body won't be able to absorb any vitamins or minerals and you slowly starve to death. 2012 is also when it'll be in the high point of solar flare cycles (according to NASA). Combine a weakened atmosphere with a giant sun burst heading our direction... SPF 10,000 won't cut it.

That song about smoking weed every day is making more sense now.

Miller meticulously showed his photos to the Marines he was with to make sure he was not going to show any photos that would upset the family members of the deceased Marines. “They were all okay with them, so then about 96 hours after the bombing I published the photos on my blog.”
Then things got interesting.
“Tuesday [Jul. 1] I awoke to a call in their combat operations centre, and the person on the phone told me they were a PAO (Public Affairs Officer) at Camp Fallujah, and he wanted me to take my blog down right away,” Miller told IPS. “I asked them why, and was told then called back after five minutes by a higher ranking PAO who claimed I had broken my contract by showing photos of dead Americans with U.S. uniforms and boots.”
Miller said the PAO claimed he was not allowed, by the embed contract, to show dead or wounded U.S. citizens or soldiers in the field. “I never signed any contract for that,” Miller said.
He was called back after another five minutes and told his embed was terminated and they would send him back to Baghdad on the next flight. He was then taken back to Camp Fallujah where he said, “Everyone was extremely angry and fired up at me.”
Nevertheless, the lower ranking Marines he had embedded with “were on my side, and they told me they thought that what was happening was wrong.”

Miller was embedded with Marines on a patrol one block from the attack when it occurred. He had originally turned down the option of going to report on the city council meeting that was bombed.
Miller ran with the Marines he was with to the scene of the attack. “As I ran I saw human pieces…a skull cap with hair, bone shards,” he told IPS during a telephone interview from the so-called Green Zone in Baghdad. “When we arrived at the building it was chaotic. There were Iraqis, police and civilians running around screaming. Bodies were being pulled out of the building.”
“I went in and there were over 20 people’s remains all over the place,” Miller continued, “Of the Marines I jogged in with, someone started to vomit. Others were standing around, not knowing what to do. It was completely surreal.”
“At that moment I realised this was far beyond anything I’d experienced, and I realised I wanted to focus and make sure I could capture what it felt like, and the visual horror,” Miller explained.
“I thought, ‘Nobody in the U.S. has any idea what it means when they hear that 20 people died in a suicide bombing.’ I want people to be able to associate those numbers with the scene and the actual loss of human life. And to show why soldiers are suffering from PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder],” Miller told IPS.
Miller was taken out of the building by Marines, but then allowed back inside where he took one last photo of the carnage before they closed the scene to him.

The potential U.S. base is strategically located in the center of the country. The Colombian Air Force’s Israeli-made Kfir fighter jets can currently reach all of the country’s borders in 10 minutes. And since Palanquero lies on the banks of the Magdalena River it is even capable of receiving amphibious aircraft, Cambio reports.
Former Colombian Defense Minister Rafael Pardo Rueda (1991-94) has already stated his opposition to the possibility of a new base. “A decision of this caliber would have serious repercussions for our foreign relations,” said Pardo, Colombia’s first civilian defense minister. “The possible base would reinforce the opinion that the decisions of Colombia are subordinated to the North. . . . Cooperation is better under sovereign conditions, rather than having a base acting with autonomy within our borders.”
If the U.S. military is indeed planning on moving into Palanquero, Colombian law would require approval of the Senate, which is currently dominated by Uribe’s allies.
Nonetheless, Cambio established that current security cooperation agreements between the United States and Colombia already contain the sufficient loopholes to make the move legally painless

In the early nineties, it was clear that NAFTA represented a huge step forward in locking in the kinds of structural adjustment programs from the IMF and World Bank that had devastated sectors of the economy, and that it formed part of President Carlos Salinas de Gortari's project to extend the neoliberal economic model of trade liberalization and export-orientation, privatization, and withdrawal of the state from social programs and economic regulation. But we didn't know the specifics of what to expect and the whole process was being carried out in backrooms hermetically sealed to citizen participation.
In the face of predictions of massive job loss, they blithely assumed that the market and high growth rates would work it all out. For U.S. businesses in Mexico, the greater mobility of capital and investor incentives in NAFTA presented a bright new day with nary a cloud in sight.

Two things:

"All options are on the table" is a euphemism for "nuclear war". There is no other meaning for this. Let's be clear, if the president says all options are on the table he is talking about a nuclear strike.

2nd, WE GOT SQUAT FROM NORTH KOREA IN THIS LAST GO AROUND. They blew up their cooling tower, big deal. The U.S. gave everything to North Korea so Boy George could use it for PR. That is all that happened. Same crazy leader in both cases and nothing has changed. So, of COURSE the nuclear option is still on the table because the whole exchange was BULLSHIT! We still need to threaten, that says it all.

This landmark legislation would provide full mitigation for the direct and indirect losses to the salmon, steelhead, striped, bass, delta smelt and other fish populations of the California Delta caused by the operation of the state and federal water projects.
The bill passed out of the Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee on Tuesday, June 24 on a vote of 5-3. The bill will now go to the Senate Committee on Appropriations. While millions of poor Florida children have to pass pointless tests while studying in filthy, ugly, temporary, unhealthy, poorly-lit and poorly-ventilated trailer-classrooms with 19th century technology; rich kids at private schools have access to beautiful, newly built, sanitary structures with the newest technology. This is the real crime of the Republican Bush-Crist Administrations in Florida.

The GOP has NOT won a Presidential election in almost 8 years! McCain is Bush to an exponent! Why would anyone with a working brain cell believe for a minute that a crooked party down to its core of cores is going win a FAIR election straight up? The numbers are just not there.

A McCain win --defying statistics --will simply prove the GOP's endemic crookery. The GOP rank and file knew Bush stole both elections but think it's OKEY DOKEY!

Stealing the election is bad enough. But to think it's just fine to do so is reprehensible, a symptom, in fact, of serious mental disorders.
